
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – 11 May 2026 – MaivenPoint, together with AvePoint and the University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), has launched a new AI lab aimed at advancing AI research, innovation, and digital skills development in Vietnam.
The UIT – AvePoint AI Lab marks a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between industry and academia, supporting Vietnam’s ambitions to build a robust AI ecosystem and future-ready workforce.
The newly launched AI lab is designed as a research and innovation environment, enabling students, researchers, and faculty to collaborate with industry experts on real-world technology challenges.

Within its first year, the programme aims to train at least 120 students through intensive AI training tracks, preparing them for roles in competitive regional and international technology markets, such as Singapore and the United States.
The AI lab operates on a collaborative three-party model – connecting government, academia, and industry stakeholders – to accelerate innovation and knowledge exchange.
