• AvePoint is building its R&D team in HCMC and you will be part of the pioneering cohort of early employees in HCMC office.
• You will support senior developers and team lead to build features according to business requirements.
• You will write design documents.
• Fix bugs and build feature changes as required.
• Monitor code performance and support senior developers/ team lead to optimize performance.

Requirements

• College or university graduated, major in computer science or IT or equivalent.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and .NET (C#).
• Proficient in using Visual Studio or Microsoft technology, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript is an advantage.
• Having a sense of responsibility, persistence.  
• Able to work independently and in a team.  
• Basic spoken and written English.
• Chinese is a plus score during the interview.

Job Description

      Requirement Elicitation and Analysis

• Support in conducting requirement surveys based on project and client specifications.
• Assist in client discussions to understand core business needs.
• Contribute to analyzing and documenting current operational pain points.

      Solution Development and Documentation

• Collaborate with project development teams to create preliminary solutions.
• Utilize tools such as Mock-ups, Design diagrams, etc., to illustrate proposed solutions.
• Support in Producing and finalizing comprehensive Functional Specification (FS) documents.

      Project Facilitation

• Participate in project development activities, including liaising with design teams for product interface design.
• Assist in articulating project logic to development engineers and system architects.
• Support test engineers in executing system tests per requirement documents.

      Document Preparation

• Co-author Use Cases, User Guides, and other project-related documentation in collaboration with project team members

      Client Engagement and Post-Implementation Support

• Assist clients in conducting user acceptance tests.
• Contribute to facilitating smooth transition processes for new and existing systems post-implementation.
• Assist in conducting user training sessions as necessary.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in computer science, software engineering, or related fields. Alternatively, a degree in English and/or Chinese with exceptional spoken proficiency is a plus.  
• Chinese speaker is preferred even if no previous experience.
• Proficiency in English, with exceptional listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Prior experience in overseas study or work is advantageous.
• Proficient in office automation tools, including Microsoft Office and Miro.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage concurrent tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical, communication, and learning abilities, enabling quick comprehension and exploration of client requirements.

Overview

What will you be doing?

As a technical support Engineer, you provide Level 1 and Level 2 Support to existing clients, serve as a primary contact to identify, troubleshoot and to provide resolutions to the reported issues. Your job is to work closely with R&D Team by conducting preliminary investigations i.e., replicating the reported issues raised and communicate to the support software engineers and Quality assurance engineers of your findings to facilitate in bug fixing.  

Your responsibilities will include:

• Being a representative for project-specific customer technical inquiries and issues that you will take ownership and bring resolution.
• Ensure customer satisfaction in Project Support and Maintenance.
• Collect information and perform deep-dive analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
• Commit to SLA for response and resolution, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of technical issues.
• Manages the status of issues raised and ensure they are resolved effectively in a timely manner.
• Continually evaluate existing processes to streamline and enhance customer support activities.
• Manage and keep tracks of change requests, bug fixes status and system updates deployments documentations.
• Prepare weekly statistic reports and able to present professionally in the weekly progress meetings with clients.
• Prepare and keep track of user manuals documentation and versions as well as release notes for upcoming enhancement releases.
• Conduct training / hand-holding sessions with users and to guide them to troubleshoot the system to resolve software issues or problems.
• Generate reports and write documentation, e.g. maintenance guide, monthly case report.

• Min Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering.

• Able to converse with mandarin speaking clients. 

Responsibilities

• Management of resources on Azure or AWS cloud computing platforms.
• Management of Gitlab project engineering.
• Building CI/CD processes and managing automated workflows.
• Setting up testing and production environment infrastructure.
• Executing software engineering processes to ensure effective measures are implemented.
• Implementing security strategies to ensure software and process security.
• Source code management.  
• Conducting cutting-edge research and practices in DevOps processes.

Job Requirements

As a junior DEVOPS engineer, we have the following basic requirements:

• Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
• Background in DEV or QA is acceptable, with a preference for candidates with a computer-related degree or some experience in automated testing.
• Basic understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, version control systems, Docker and other DevOps technologies.
• Familiar with at least one of the programming languages, (e.g., Python, Java, Bash).
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• A university or college degree is required for this position.
